Dr. Michael E. Whitcomb

Meet

Dr. Michael Whitcomb, Jr., D.D.S, M.S.

Since completing his postgraduate dental education, Dr. Whitcomb has been providing state of the art endodontic care in private practice for over 25 years in the Central Ohio area.

Dr Whitcomb graduated from a local high school before attending and graduating from The Ohio State University in 1987 with a degree in Microbiology. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1991. After graduation from the College of Dentistry he practiced general dentistry on the west side of Columbus. In 1992 he went back to school. He spent 1992- 1994 in an advanced graduate endodontic residency at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Upon graduation and receiving his certificate in Endodontics, he entered private practice specializing in root canal therapy. When he originally entered the practice, it was known as Worthington Endodontics. As the practice expanded, the name changed to its current name of Central Ohio Endodontics.

In 1996, he again returned to the College of Dentistry, this time as a part time associate professor. He spent over 20 years teaching dental students and endodontic residents the art of root canals.

Throughout his career, he has donated his time to help the profession. He has served on many committees, councils, and boards at both the local and state levels. In 2009, he was the President of the Columbus Dental Society. He also participates in several programs in which he donates his services to those in need.

In his time away from the office, he enjoys following the activities of his four adult children Alexander, Gabrielle, Andrew and Gwyneth as well as spending time with his wife, Danielle.
