Dr. F. Charles Arens

Meet

Dr. F. Charles Arens, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Arens strives to provide the highest quality, compassionate endodontic care to his patients. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, graduating from Upper Arlington High School and Bowling Green State University with a B.S. degree in Biology. He then returned home to Columbus and worked for Ashland Chemical as a research assistant in the composite polymers division before embarking on his dental career. He received his DDS degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1997. Upon graduation he served as a Lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corps. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes and then was stationed with the marines at Camp Lejeune. Dr Arens completed his endodontic residency in 2002 earning a Certificate and a Master of Science in Endodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy.  In 2003 he was Honorably Discharged for the US Navy achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  He has been working with Central Ohio Endodontics since 2002.

Dr. Arens is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. He is also actively involved in organized dentistry, serving as a delegate for the ODA since 2011.  Dr. Arens has been selected by his peers as one of Columbus Monthly’s top endodontists.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, motorcycling, motorsports, golf, and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
