After completion of endodontic treatment, the root canal system has been permanently sealed. However, the outer surface, or crown, is sealed with a temporary restoration. The permanent restoration must be replaced by your general dentist to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. Please telephone your restorative dentist for an appointment within eight weeks from completion of root canal treatment. A complete report of treatment will be sent to your doctor. In addition, our Doctors will follow-up with a personal phone call to you to determine your progress.
